Archiving: The Digging Continues

Sat Nov 21, 2009, 6:32 PM
  • Mood: Joy
  • Listening to: Columbus Blue Jackets hockey online
  • Reading: Wake Up; A Life of the Buddha by Jack Kerouac
  • Watching: I have no TV to watch
  • Playing: Let's Not Panic About $ - not a fun game ;)
  • Eating: very little
  • Drinking: Coffee
I continue to dig through old photos, attempting to find images that are worthy of a second chance. As you all can see, I have found some in amongst my many files. I seem to be seeing things differently, and stuff I overlooked or may not have liked before, I am seeing with new eyes. I am still without a camera. :( I am starting to research cameras though, so when I do come to that bridge, I'll be ready.

My mountain bike sold on Ebay, it is now living out in Los Angeles, CA. I am helping the customer buy a new rear shock, seems it is shot. I was unaware, and didn't knowingly send it out that way. I had it looked over by a Specializes tech, and they missed that. The customer is being cool and we're working together. Poo! Lessons learned about selling on Ebay: 1. Overcharge for shipping ( I had to eat like $70, I didn't anticipate it gong out to LA 2. With all of the fees, you don't make quite as much as you think. (PayPal & Ebay like to make money also)

So, I post my own poetry on my old photo gallery :iconpatrickjdavis:
I post my photography here in this gallery
Is that enough, oh hell no.
I just began collaborating with a friend doing poetry :iconwoozyatmospherics: In this gallery, the poetry created is a group effort. One person starts and we then take turns adding a line, sometimes someone has a run and they add several lines, but in the end the completed poem is both of us. It was fun and I look forward to doing more creative work with her. The first series was created in a late night/early morning session via the phone. Check it out if your so inclined.

i've been spinning for a while, but i don't play much anymore. i'm waiting to get the serato program so that i can expand my musical selection. right now i only have a bunch of drum&bass records. i've made a few songs here and there, mostly on fruity loops, but i'm trying to learn the rebirth program, and i mess around on my friends mpc5000. thanx for asking. do you?
:icontea-one:
I used to spin wwwaaayy back. I used to spin chill/ambient/IDM style. I also used to make music, but, again, it has been a very long time. I've thought about getting back into it as a hobby, because I really enjoyed that creative process.
Keep learning and never be afraid to experiment, that's the most fun.
